My first formal artistic education focused mainly on portraiture and in learning to capture a subject’s inner spirit and depict it onto canvas. I then broadened my creative interest into painting florals and landscapes, working mainly in oils and watercolor.
My work has been exhibited in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona. My paintings have also hung in the Faulkner Gallery, Gallery 113, the Cabrillo Arts Center, Borders Books, Antioch University, and Oliver and Espig Gallery of Fine Arts in the Santa Barbara, California area. I have also participated in several outdoor festivals in my community. Additionally, If you are walking the halls of Santa Barbara’s Cottage Hospital, you might notice a few of my paintings hanging in various patient wings and corridors as part of the hospital’s permanent collection that focuses on art depicting the beauty of the Central Coast of California.
