Goph Albitz

Goph Ablitz began his artistic career between 1966 and 1976 in Big Sur, California. He was trained as a machinist in the Santa Monica Aerospace industry, and as such, he rejected traditional jewelry making techniques and embraced industrial construction methods for his artistry. He uses milling machines, lathes, and high-tech adhesives that give strength to his designs. He employs a holistic approach to his creation process, from design inception, to cutting his own stones and inlays, alloying his own metals, and handcrafting each unique art piece.
